A Church for Everyone; Built by and for Students, Led by Students and Post-collegiate Adults, Guided Through Mentoring.
Built: This church is designed to welcome everyone, from newborns to seniors. However, our primary mission will focus on college students. The church’s culture and expression will be shaped by students, with their unchurched friends in mind.
Led: Unlike traditional models where post-collegiate adults lead decision-making, this church will empower college students to actively participate in shaping its direction.
Guided: Mature and qualified adult mentors will provide shepherding and guidance in every area, equipping students to lead effectively under the authority of the pastor and elders.
What makes it dierent than a typical college ministry?
This won’t be College Ministry 2.0—it will be a church. In a ministry, you focus on yourself and peers. In a church, you share responsibility across all ages and demographics, building relationships with everyone. It’s about community, giving, serving, and helping all generations. A ministry serves a group; a church serves God and those needing the gospel. Yes our missional focus will be the university and mostly students, but will include faculty and staff.
Intergenerational: Many students lack examples of healthy marriages or thriving family dynamics. For this reason alone, the church must be intergenerational—a local body of all ages, focused on reaching students. Students will lead in every area, supported by mentoring and development from post-collegiate adults.
Evangelism and Campus Impact: Church planting inherently elevates evangelistic efforts. Moving onto campus enhances access, fosters intentional outreach, and deepens understanding of how to meet the university’s needs and be a blessing to its community
